About Us
SD Sails is a creative and resourceful textile fabrication company, offering its bespoke products and manufacturing services to a wide range of industries.
Established in 1992, SD Sails has steadily grown and evolved under the directorship of Simon Dawkins, from a simple sail making business to an industry leader in many of its fields of fabrication.
With an increasingly diverse portfolio of projects, our services include shade sails, tensile membranes, canopies, covers, blinds, screens and shades, as well as the marine sails, canvas work and maintenance, which is where it all started.
Housed in over 6000 square feet of workshop space, SD Sails offers state of the art facilities including technical and graphic design expertise, large-scale CAD cutting and plotting, large-scale fabric welding, a wide variety of industrial sewing machines plus cable assembly machinery.
In addition to manufacturing, we also offer an extensive repair service to all of our lines of business, which extends to other sectors like pool covers, tents and caravan awnings, garden furniture, tipis and marquees.
All of our production is bespoke and we work closely with our clients to ensure we match their exact specifications and requirements. So, if you have a textile manufacturing requirement, or a one off project that involves a textile component, please get in touch and we'll do our very best to help.
